Wisheroo is a service of NameNiche, LLC ("Wisheroo", "we", "us" or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Wisheroo website, app and browser extension, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
Information you give us: your email address and first name; the details you share to make a song, such as names, how to say them, memories, personality words and interests; wish lists, including the video, the wishes and any products you save to them; dates and gift interests you save to your calendar; and messages you send us. We receive confirmation that you paid, but not your full card number.
Information about other people: the people you write songs about or add to your calendar do not have an account with us. We only have what you, or they through a family link, tell us.
Information collected automatically: basic device and usage information, such as pages viewed, plays and shares, and information from cookies and similar tools used to keep you signed in, keep the service secure, and measure our advertising.
The browser extension: reads the product name, picture, price and address of a store page only when you click the Wisheroo button, and stores a sign-in key on your device. It does not read your browsing history or other pages.
Song covers and reveal videos: if you upload your own cover picture, we resize it on your device (which removes the photo's location data) and store it with your song. Photos you choose for a reveal video stay on your device; they are never uploaded to us.
Calls from Santa: when you book a call, we use your mobile number to send you a code and to place the call, and your child's first name, age and your notes to guide the conversation. Calls are not recorded. While the call runs, what is said is turned into text so Santa can answer; afterwards we keep only the wishes, saved as a wish list in your account, and delete the rest. Santa never asks for an address, last name, school or other personal details.
Invites: when someone starts a song from your invite link, we record that you invited them so we can give both of you credit. We do not show either of you the other's orders.
To write, produce, check and deliver your song; to show your wish list to the people you share it with; to send your preview, receipts, delivery, sign-in links and the reminders you asked for; to suggest gifts; to keep the service secure and prevent abuse; to measure and improve the service and our advertising; and to meet legal obligations.
Wisheroo is for adults. A wish list that features a child is created, recorded and shared by the child's parent or legal guardian, who confirms that role before recording. We use the child's video, name and wishes only to show the list to the people the parent sends the link to and to suggest gifts. Wish list pages carry no advertising or analytics tools, are not listed in search engines, and open only with their link. The parent can delete the video or the whole list at any time, and we delete wish lists and videos automatically 75 days after they are created. We never sell or share a child's video, name or wishes with stores or advertisers. If you believe a child has given us information without a parent, contact us and we will delete it.
When someone uses your family link, the name, date and interests they enter are added to your calendar so you can be reminded before it. We show the person who sent the link only what was entered. We do not sell or share the names, dates or details of the people in your calendar with stores or advertisers. When you click a gift idea, the store may know you came from Wisheroo.
We share information only: with service providers who host the service, process payments, produce audio, send email and measure usage, under contract and only to provide their service to us; with the people you choose to share a song, wish list or calendar link with; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and with a buyer or successor if Wisheroo is sold or merged, under this policy.
We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, keep the service secure, understand how Wisheroo is used, and measure our advertising. Song pages, wish lists, family links and sign-in pages load no analytics or advertising tools. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we do not load them anywhere. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.
We send emails you need, such as sign-in links, your preview and your song, and the reminders you turn on. Every reminder and marketing email has a link to stop them, and you can turn reminders off in the app.
Unpaid song previews, including the lyrics, memories and audio, are deleted 30 days after they are made. Paid songs, their covers and their pages are kept for as long as we operate Wisheroo, and we will give you at least 90 days' notice before we stop. Wish lists and their videos are deleted 75 days after they are made. Calendar dates are kept until you remove them or delete your account. When you delete your account we delete your songs, wish lists, videos, dates and sign-ins right away; records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons are kept only as long as required.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access that is limited to what each part of the service needs. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can change your name and email, turn reminders on or off, edit or delete wish lists and videos, and delete your account in the app. You can also ask us to see, correct, export or delete your information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, and we honor them. We will not treat you differently for using them.
We may update this policy. We will post the new effective date above, and for material changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
